Kawasaki has confirmed that current Rizla Suzuki MotoGP star John Hopkins will ride for the Green Team in 2008 and 2009.

Both Hopkins and Kawasaki have been competetive as of late, with John’s first podium earlier this year, and Kawasaki placing 3 green bikes in the top 10 at Laguna Seca.

Hopkins, 24, hails from Ramona, California, although Brits often refer to him as Anglo-American due to his strong family connections in the U.K. Hopper races with a Union Jack on his helmet.

Winner of the 2001 AMA Formula Extreme Championship on a Suzuki GSX-R1000, Hopkins graduated to Grand Prix racing in 2002, at first riding for the Red Bull WCM team. Hopper joined Suzuki in 2003.
