According to the Financial Times, at FT.com, there is speculation that Ducati and Harley-Davidson could merge at "anytime". See the whole story here:

This would make financial sense, I suppose. But how would die-hard Ducatisti feel about it? Do most Harley riders even know what a Ducati is? Interestingly, the Ducati CFO, Enrico D’Onofrio, says about half of Ducati owners also own a Harley.
From an emotional standpoint this is a disaster. Are Hog riders and Ducati folks ready for this kind of a merger? What do you think?
