The annual trip to Mecca....er, I mean Laguna Seca, for the MotoGP races, takes place July 20 to 22, 2007. For those of you who just came out of your cave, Laguna Seca is just East of Monterey, California, on the beeeautiful Monterey Peninsula. Go to Salinas and turn toward the ocean.

Once again the AMA series will also race during MotoGP weekend. I've always found this kinda strange. Do other countries run their national series races alongside MotoGP? I don't think so. They get the 250's and 125's, which are largely ignored in this country. A shame, really, as there is often great racing in the smaller classes.

If you've got the wallet-ability to afford one of the exhorbitantly priced hotel rooms in the area, MotoGP weekend is the Holy Grail of American sportbike events. Do we like Laguna? We've been going every year since 1988.
