Default MotoGP might be a one-tire class for 2008

Recent announcements by the head of Dorna have indicated that MotoGP is thinking about adopting a one-tire rule in 2008.

More on the story here:

On one hand it would take away at least one excuse from the riders. Riders like Rossi, Hayden and Pedrosa seem to think they can't win on Michelins, despite the fact that they're all 3 on the front row of the grid for tomorrow's MotoGP race in Japan.

Are they giving up on Michelin too quickly? Spec tires have been a good thing for World Superbike. Would they be good for MotoGP?
