So it looks like God is smiting Southern California this week with massive, devastating fires. About a million people evacuated, hundreds of homes destroyed, hundred of square miles burned.

I heard that one of my favorite places to ride, Palomar Mountain, is currently up in flames.

I can't wait for the fires to be done. The air quality sucks, roads are closed. One small bright side is that after a big fire, you have great visibility on winding mountain roads. You can see thru the corners so much better to spot cops and other traffic from far away.

I'm counting my blessings that, so far, the fire hasn't affected my house or any of my family and friends.
