Default Seeking opinions on what kind of bike to buy

Yes, I know....man does not live by one bike alone. And I already have 3. But I'm thinking about number 4. Here are my needs:
I want a bike that is relatively thin and light, is comfortable for commuting, comfy for short distance 2-up riding, and has a small amount of off-road capability. And if Corbin makes a seat with a backrest for the bike, that helps too. None of my current bikes has a back seat, and the wifey wants to go sometimes too!

I've narrowed it down to these choices:
BMW F650GS
Honda Transalp
Aprilia Pegaso

The Beemer is nice, but kinda pricey. I don't want to spend more than about 3500.00. The Honda seems nice, but they're kinda old, tend to be rather worn out, and are hard to find. The Aprilia is kinda rare too, and I wonder how reliable they are.

Does anyone have experience with any or all of these bikes? What can you tell me? Any recommendations? Does a V-strom 650 have any off-road capability? (I think not!)
Thanks
